Your second brain.

One place the whole team remembers.

Scroll down

One brain. Everyone writes to it.

A single Obsidian vault, living in git. The core writes it, the agents write it, everyone else reads it - all the same notes.

Setup

Set up in two clicks.

Download the installer, double-click it, approve once. No Terminal, no typing - it installs Obsidian, the vault and the sync, and points Claude at it.

  1. Download and open it. Your Mac unzips it automatically into your Downloads.
  2. Double-click Install-Aditor-Brain.command. The first time, macOS may block it - just right-click it → Open → Open.
  3. Sign in to GitHub (the videoaditor account) in the window that opens. That is the only thing it asks you.
  1. Download it - if your browser asks, choose Keep. Then double-click Install-Aditor-Brain.bat.
  2. The first time, Windows may warn "Windows protected your PC" - click More info → Run anyway.
  3. Sign in to GitHub (the videoaditor account) in the window that opens. That is the only thing it asks you.

Comfortable in the terminal? Run one line instead

macOS · Terminal

curl -fsSL https://brain.aditor.ai/bootstrap.sh | bash

Windows · PowerShell

iwr -UseBasicParsing https://brain.aditor.ai/bootstrap.ps1 | iex

Same result. Sign in to GitHub with the videoaditor account when prompted.

Prefer to do it entirely by hand? Manual steps
  1. Install Obsidian - the free desktop app from obsidian.md.
  2. Clone the vault with GitHub Desktop (sign in, clone videoaditor/aditor-brain) into a folder that is not your personal vault.
  3. Open folder as vault in Obsidian - pick that cloned folder.
  4. Enable Obsidian Git (Community plugins → Browse → install → enable). It ships pre-configured and starts syncing.
  5. Just write. Every few minutes it commits, pulls, and pushes on its own.

Your agent

Point your agent at it.

Most of you use the Claude desktop app. The installer above already wires it up - you just restart it once.

Claude Desktop
⇆
📁 aditor-vault
1 · install
Run the installer above. It installs everything and connects Claude Desktop to the vault for you.
2 · restart
Fully quit Claude Desktop (Cmd+Q) and reopen it - that is what switches the connection on.
3 · use it
Ask Claude about the vault. It reads and writes your notes (asking permission per file), guided by the law in AGENTS.md.

On Claude Code instead? Just open the ~/aditor-vault folder - it reads AGENTS.md on its own, nothing to configure.

The structure

How the vault thinks.

sources/Raw input - transcripts, captures, notes. Saved once, never edited.
wiki/The compiled brain - SOPs, brand checklists, decisions. What people read.
archive/Finished or superseded. Nothing here is current.

AGENTS.md at the root is the law - the routing table, the allowed folders, the writing rules. CLAUDE.md points to it, and index.md is the map. One rule above all: one concept, one page.

How it stays clean.

You don't police it. The conventions live in AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md, so every agent that touches the vault follows them automatically - and a linter backs it up on every change.

The agent follows

  • 🤖
    One page per idea.
Updates what exists instead of spawning a duplicate.
  • 🤖
    Links related notes.
Cross-links with [[…]] so the graph stays whole.
  • 🤖
Never writes secrets or live data.
Links to the system of record instead of pasting it in.

The system backs it up

  • ⚡
    Saves & syncs itself.
Commits and pushes to GitHub every few minutes - no buttons.
  • ⚡
    A check on every change.
The linter tidies formatting and flags anything out of place.
  • ⚡
    The structure holds.
Folders and the allowlist are enforced, so it never sprawls.
